Shocking Violence in Bihar: RJD MLA’s Driver Shot Dead in Khagaria
In a chilling incident, the driver of RJD MLA Ramvriksha Sada lost his life after two unidentified men opened fire on him near Meghuna picket in Bihar’s Khagaria district. The attack happened late on Wednesday night, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The victim, Laxman Sada from Alauli, was heading home around 10:30 PM when the assailants on a motorcycle stopped him suddenly. They fired shots at close range, and Laxman collapsed right there on the road. Alert villagers heard the gunfire and rushed to help. They quickly took him to a nearby government hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Alauli Police arrived at the scene soon after and kicked off their investigation. They’ve filed an FIR against the two unknown attackers. Right now, the team is poring over CCTV footage from the area to track down the culprits. "We’re digging into the motive for this brutal attack and working hard to catch the accused," said the SHO of Alauli Police Station.
This shooting has left residents in the area on edge, with many worried about rising violence in Bihar.
Another RJD Leader Gunned Down in Patna
Just a day earlier, tragedy struck again when RJD leader Rajkumar Rai, also known as Allah Rai, was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in Patna. The attack took place under Chitragupt Nagar police station limits, adding to the growing concerns over targeted killings of political figures in Bihar.
Rai suffered six gunshot wounds and was rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), where he breathed his last. Parichay Kumar, SP (East Range) of Patna, shared that Rai was active in politics and also ran a land-related business.
Police acted swiftly in this case. They spotted the two suspects on CCTV cameras and arrested them soon after. Officers also recovered six spent bullets from the scene, which could help build a strong case.
According to details, Rai was driving home in his four-wheeler on Wednesday night when he pulled over near his house to grab some food. That’s when the attackers zoomed in on their bike and fired multiple rounds. He fell on the spot from the injuries.
These back-to-back incidents highlight the urgent need for better security in Bihar’s political circles. Police are on high alert, and investigations continue in both cases to prevent more such violence.
