The UAE’s Hamdan Humanitarian Ship has just docked at Al Arish Port in Egypt, marking another big step in the country’s ongoing support for Palestinians under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. This move highlights the UAE’s strong commitment to delivering vital aid to Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, directed the ship’s preparation and launch. The vessel set off from Khalifa Port on August 30, carrying a massive 7,000 tonnes of essential supplies straight to the Gaza Strip.
What’s inside? The shipment includes 5,000 tonnes of food parcels to tackle hunger, 1,900 tonnes of materials for community kitchens, 100 tonnes of medical tents to boost health services, and even five fully equipped ambulances ready to save lives.
This arrival pushes the total number of UAE aid ships sent to Gaza to 20. Through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE has now delivered around 90,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid, all at a whopping cost of USD 1.8 billion. It’s all about providing sustainable relief, easing daily struggles, and meeting the basic needs of Palestinians facing tough times.
The UAE continues to lead with its humanitarian spirit, teaming up with local charities to help those hit by crises worldwide. This effort shows their dedication to standing by people in need, no matter the challenges.
