PM Modi thanks leaders of Guyana, NZ, Bhutan and Dominica for warm birthday wishes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received heartfelt birthday wishes from world leaders on his 75th birthday, and he responded with warm thanks on social media. From Bhutan to New Zealand, these messages highlight the strong India-global ties and mutual respect.

Starting with Guyana, President Irfaan Ali shared a special video and post on X, congratulating PM Modi on this milestone. He praised Modi’s leadership for serving India, the Global South, and humanity. In reply, PM Modi posted, “Thank you, President Ali, for your kind wishes. I am touched by your warm sentiments that reflect the deep bonds of friendship and mutual trust between India and Guyana.” This exchange shows the growing India-Guyana relations under Modi’s diplomacy.

PM Modi also thanked New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon for his video message. Luxon said, “Kia ora, namaskar, my good friend Prime Minister Modi. Congratulations on your 75th birthday from me and all of your friends across New Zealand.” He reflected on Modi’s wisdom in guiding India to become a developed nation by 2047, known as Viksit Bharat. Luxon added excitement about deeper cooperation for security and prosperity, and hoped to host Modi in New Zealand after his own recent India visit.

In his response on X, PM Modi wrote, “Thank you, Prime Minister Luxon, for your warm wishes. I deeply cherish our friendship. New Zealand is an important partner in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.” These words underscore the strengthening India-New Zealand partnership in trade and development.

From the Caribbean, Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit sent warm greetings, thanking India for its support during the COVID-19 pandemic and joint efforts on climate resilience and sustainable development. His X post read, “On behalf of the Government and people of Dominica, I extend warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. We deeply value India’s steadfast support… I wish you continued good health, happiness, and success.”

PM Modi replied, “Thank you for your kind wishes, Prime Minister Skerrit. India deeply cherishes the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity with the Commonwealth of Dominica.” This interaction highlights India’s role in global solidarity, especially with small island nations facing climate challenges.

Finally, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay extended wishes on X: “Warm birthday wishes to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Wishing you good health and long life. Grateful for your leadership and the special friendship between Bhutan and India.”

PM Modi responded, “Thank you, Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, for your kind wishes. I look forward to working with you to further strengthen our special partnership with Bhutan.” The close India-Bhutan bond remains a key example of neighborhood diplomacy under Modi.

These birthday exchanges on September 17 not only celebrated PM Modi’s milestone but also reinforced India’s global leadership and friendships worldwide.
