Gandhinagar, Dec 7 (LatestNewsX) – Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel paid tribute to the nation’s heroes on Armed Forces Flag Day, honoring their ultimate sacrifice and the impact it has on their loved ones. The ceremony was attended by former military officers, and CM Patel thanked the soldiers for their courage and the security they afford India. Images of the event were posted on the CM’s X page, calling attention to the fallen soldiers and the living servicemen who give so much for the country.
“On the occasion of today’s Armed Forces Flag Day, Gujarat CM expressed gratitude towards the brave soldiers of the Army and Armed Forces who attained martyrdom by sacrificing their lives in dedication to the nation’s defence, by contributing to the welfare of the families of those dutiful personnel,” it said in the post. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Krishnadeep Singh and representatives from the Soldiers Welfare and Rehabilitation Board also took part in the ceremony.
The Chief Minister added a voluntary donation to the armed‑forces welfare fund, hoping it will encourage others to contribute. Gujarat Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi later used his X channel to thank the armed forces.
“Salute to the amazing courage, valour, and dedication of our brave soldiers who are always devoted to protecting the motherland on Armed Forces Flag Day,” Sanghavi said, urging citizens to support the families of those in uniform. Armed Forces Flag Day falls annually on December 7, commemorating the bravery of the nation’s servicemen and women.
