Sonu Nigam opens up about performing 30 songs without a break during his show in Hyderabad

Mumbai, Nov 30 – During a recent show in Hyderabad, legendary singer Sonu Nigam astonished fans by delivering 30 songs straight through, without a single break.
In an interview with LatestNewsX, the vocalist explained that the connection he felt with the crowd convinced him to extend the performance. “I extended the show because Hyderabad listens with its heart,” he said. “Even after travelling and performing across the US, Canada and India these past few days, the moment I stepped on stage tonight, I felt recharged. Hyderabad’s audiences understand music, they feel it. That energy pushed me to give them everything I had. I’m already dreaming up something entirely new for Ahmedabad next month.”
The concert, brought to life by BookMyShow, was lengthened by an additional 30 minutes. Sonu weaved through an eclectic set, from the soulful “Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin” and the evergreen “Kal Ho Naa Ho” to his indie favourites “Tu, Deewana Tera” and “Ab Mujhe Raat Din.” The energy shifted as he pumped up the arena with high‑octane tracks like “Bijuria,” “Pardesia” and “Mere Dholna.”
BookMyShow’s COO of Live Entertainment & Venues, Anil Makhija, praised the evening: “Satrangi Re is not just a concert; it is an immersive journey into love, longing, joy and nostalgia. To witness an entire arena rise, sing and almost dissolve into Sonu Nigam’s voice was an unforgettable sight. This is why we create live experiences — to remind people of the power music holds.”
Following Hyderabad, the “Satrangi Re” tour will head to Ahmedabad on December 21, with subsequent dates in Pune, Kolkata and Delhi.
