Toddler hit and killed by pick-up truck in Long Island driveway: cops
A 2‑year‑old toddler crashed into a Ram 1500 pickup that was parked in a driveway in Mount Sinai on Saturday after 1 p.m. The little boy was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he later died. The parents— a 44‑year‑old mother and a 43‑year‑old father—were there when police arrived, but their identities remain undisclosed. It’s still unclear who was behind the wheel or what happened in the moment. Police cordoned off much of the street and set up a scene at the two‑story home; a white Dodge Ram faced the house and was the focus of the initial investigation. By about 3:45 p.m. a Suffolk Police flatbed pulled the truck away, and officials are continuing to look into the cause of the child’s death.
