Delhi blast: NIA produces Umar’s aide Jasir Bilal Wani in Patiala House court

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) presented Jasir Bilal Wani—also known as Danish—to the Patiala House Court in Delhi on Tuesday. Wani is accused of helping the bomber Dr Umar Muhammad Nabi plan the deadly blast that killed 13 people and injured 32.
Wani, a Kashmiri resident from Srinagar, was arrested by the NIA on Monday. Investigators say he supplied technical support, tailoring drones and working on rocket designs that were meant to aid the attack. He lived in Qazigund, Anantnag district, and is seen as a key co‑conspirator.
The agency is still piecing together the full story. Several NIA teams are searching across several states to identify everyone who could have helped or profited from the bombing.
Earlier this week, Delhi courts sent Aamir Rashid Ali to NIA custody for ten days. Ali, from Samboora, Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir, had helped Arranged the car used as a vehicle‑borne improvised explosive device (IED). The car was registered in his name, and he traveled to Delhi to buy it, according to the NIA.
The NIA took over the case after a large ground search operation in Delhi, which followed their takeover from the Delhi Police. The fight continues as authorities chase all threads of the conspiracy behind the Delhi blast.
