‘Seeking Sister Wife’ star Garrick Merrifield arrested for domestic violence — just days after announcing daughter’s birth
Garrick Merrifield, the polygamist who stars on TLC’s “Seeking Sister Wife,” was taken into custody in Chaffee County, Colorado, just a few days after sharing the news that his newest wife had given birth to their daughter.
According to TMZ, the arrest occurred on Monday, and Merrifield has since been released on bail. Public records show he faces charges of misdemeanor domestic violence and intentionally interfering with telecommunications service, though officials have yet to provide a full account of what prompted the arrest.
The reality‑show couple, Merrifield and his new wife Lorrana—who came from Brazil and were wed on the series in October 2024—announced on Instagram last week that they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sarah, who arrived in July.
Merrifield’s family also includes three older children from his first marriage to Danielle, whom he divorced several years ago to pursue additional spouses, yet they remain in a plural relationship with her.
