SAJEX 2025 Kicks Off in Jeddah: India’s Gems and Jewellery Shine Bright
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The buzz is on at the Jeddah Superdome, where the first-ever Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition 2025 (SAJEX 2025) opened its doors on Thursday. This massive international B2B jewellery exhibition brings together over 200 exhibitors from India and around the world, displaying stunning fine jewellery, sparkling gemstones, and cutting-edge designs that catch the eye.
India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, kicked things off by highlighting how the event strengthens ties between the two nations. He praised the Strategic Partnership Council for boosting business connections and said SAJEX 2025 will create even deeper links between Indian and Saudi industries in the gems and jewellery sector.
GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali echoed the excitement in his speech, calling out the huge potential for India-Saudi Arabia collaboration in this vibrant field. From the Saudi side, Khalid Al-Sheddi from the Ministry of Investment added that the expo arrives at the perfect moment to grow trade and investments, aligning perfectly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
The grand inauguration drew a star-studded crowd, including Princess Nourah Al-Faisal, top Saudi officials, leaders from chambers of commerce in Jeddah, Makkah, and Riyadh, key players from Indian and Saudi businesses, and diplomats from various countries.
Adding to the glamour, a special message from India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal was read out, wishing everyone success at SAJEX 2025.
The event wasn’t just about talks—visitors got a treat with a specially curated jewellery and apparel fashion show. Indian designer Ashfaq and his team, backed by Saudi partners, showcased creative pieces. A lively live musical performance by Indian cultural troupe VIHARA kept the energy high.
