Hyderabad, Dec 7 (LatestNewsX) – On Sunday, the Telangana government announced plans to rename the thoroughfare that leads to the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad after former President Donald Trump, officials stated.
The prominent route by the U.S. Consulate will be designated “Donald Trump Avenue.” According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the state will draft a letter to the Union Ministry of External Affairs and the U.S. Embassy outlining this proposal.
Additionally, the government has decided to christen the new green‑field radial road linking Nehru Outer Ring Road at Raviryal to the forthcoming Regional Ring Road in honor of Padma Bhushan Ratan Tata. The interchange at Raviryal already bears the name “Tata Interchange.”
During the annual US‑India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Conclave in Delhi last month, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy suggested naming key Hyderabad roads after prominent global corporations.
In line with that idea, a major stretch will become “Google Street,” recognizing Google’s significant worldwide influence and its upcoming campus in the city’s financial district. This campus, expected to be the largest outside the U.S., will sit on the newly named street.
These naming moves are part of Telangana’s broader strategy to brand the state as a hub of innovation‑driven progress, according to the CMO. Microsoft and Wipro are also slated for recognition with “Wipro Junction” and “Microsoft Road,” aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision.
The government is considering further dedications to honor distinguished individuals and corporations across the city’s landscape.
The announcements came just before the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which will start Monday at the Bharat Future City near Hyderabad. The two‑day gathering aims to showcase the state’s vast investment prospects. Officials report that 154 international delegates from more than 44 nations have already confirmed attendance.
