Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu led the tributes on X (formerly Twitter). He called the award a “well-deserved recognition” for Mohanlal’s stellar work as an actor, director, and producer. Naidu highlighted how Mohanlal’s contributions have shaped Indian cinema and inspired countless fans. He even shared a photo of the actor to celebrate the moment.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, a top name in the Telugu film industry himself, echoed the excitement. As the Jana Sena leader, he praised Mohanlal for his natural acting style and ability to bring diverse characters to life. Pawan noted that Mohanlal has bagged five National Film Awards over the years. Popular actor Jr NTR added his voice too. “Heartiest congratulations to the legendary Mohanlal sir on the Dadasaheb Phalke Award,” he wrote on X. He described the Malayalam icon as a true pillar of Indian cinema and said the recognition was spot on.
