Mumbai playback singer Shaan recently wowed fans with a nostalgic concert honoring the iconic Kishore Kumar. The event, called “Forever Kishore Shaan Se,” brought back timeless hits and left audiences humming classics.
Shaan, known for his versatile voice in Bollywood, shared his insights on what makes singing special—whether in a studio or on stage. In a chat with before the show, he explained how both experiences help singers like him grow.
“Both have their own charm,” Shaan said. When recording in the studio, you’re singing a song for the first time. It’s all about creating something fresh that lasts. “You sing it in a way that the song has longevity, so people will still listen to it 10, 15, 20 years from now. That’s a different kind of challenge—it has its own fun.”
Live performances bring a whole new thrill, he added. You get just one shot, no do-overs. But the real magic comes from connecting with the crowd. “In this show, we’ve done a lot of planning,” Shaan noted. They stretch out the parts fans love and trim what doesn’t click. Every detail matters—from song order to energy flow. “You can’t lose that connection, not even for a second. It’s all well-curated and planned to the T.”
The concert took place on September 19 in Mumbai’s bustling BKC area. Namrata Gupta Khan and Rabbani Mustafa Khan from NR Talent and Event Management presented the evening, making it a perfect tribute to Kishore Kumar’s legacy. Fans of Bollywood music and live singing events can’t get enough of these heartfelt shows.
