Tripura: BJP serves show-cause notice to MLA for remarks against former CM and ex-Union minister

The Tripura BJP’s general secretary, Amit Rakshit, wrote a show‑cause notice to Hossain. State President Rajib Bhattacharjee also condemned Hossain’s remarks. He told the media that “Deb is a former chief minister and now a Lok Sabha MP, and Bhoumik is a former Union minister—both senior party figures.” Bhattacharjee added that the BJP would take “strong action” following the matter. He had already briefed central leadership about the issue.
