President Trump has had his name carved into the front of the United States Institute of Peace’s building, as he gears up to sign a new treaty there on Thursday. The words “Donald J. Trump” now sit just above the engraved “United States Institute of Peace” at the entrance to the north‑side of the Lincoln Memorial. The building, finished in 2011 on Constitution Avenue, is the first monument visitors see when they drive into Washington from Virginia.
