UAE Stands Firmly with Qatar, Slams Israel’s ‘Cowardly’ Attack on Gulf Ally
In a strong show of support, the United Arab Emirates has thrown its full backing behind Qatar after a shocking Israeli attack. UAE officials called the strike a "blatant and cowardly" move that violates Qatar’s sovereignty as an Arab Gulf nation and a key UN member. They warned that this kind of aggression risks sparking bigger troubles across the region, threatening peace and stability.
The UAE made it clear: this attack breaks international law, ignores the UN Charter, and stomps on basic human rights. Speaking at an emergency session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, UAE’s Permanent Representative Jamal Jama Al Musharakh didn’t hold back. The meeting came at the request of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), highlighting global concerns over the incident.
Al Musharakh offered heartfelt condolences to Qatar’s government and people for the loss of a brave member of the Qatar Internal Security Force, who died in the attack. "We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our brothers in Qatar," he said, pledging unwavering support against any threats to their security.
He drove home a key point: Qatar’s safety ties directly to the well-being of all GCC countries. "An attack on one is an attack on us all," Al Musharakh stressed, adding that such hostile actions and fiery rhetoric could drag the Middle East into dangerous chaos. The region, he noted, simply can’t handle more escalation fueled by hate speech—it’s time to stick to the UN Charter’s core principles for real stability.
This UAE-Qatar solidarity underscores growing tensions in the Gulf, with the international community watching closely for what comes next.
