PKL 12: Atrachali reaches ‘200’ as Dabang Delhi beat Haryana Steelers in tie-breaker

Chennai – Dabang Delhi rolled past the Haryana Steelers in a nail‑biting finale of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12), clinching a 9‑3 win in a ninth‑to‑ninth tie‑breaker at the SDAT Multi‑Purpose Indoor Stadium.
The match stayed tight from the start. Haryana kicked off with a raid by Vinay, giving the Steelers a quick lead. Dabang responded fast, leveling the score with points of their own, and the contest swung back and forth in the early minutes. By the first‑half break the Steelers were just two points ahead at 9‑7.
Dabang’s Ajinkya Pawar kept the pressure on after halftime, earning a Super Raid that trimmed the Steelers’ advantage to a single point. The leaders then exchanged points in a back‑and‑forth dance that saw the scoreboard tied 27‑27 midway through the second half.
Around the final minutes, Fazel Atrachali—who celebrated his 200th PKL appearance—shone in defense, making tackles that kept the Steelers on the back foot. His decisive moves pushed the scores to 33‑33 and sent the game into a tie‑breaker.
In the additional tenth‑minute contest, Dabang seized the early lead, going up 2‑0 before Haryana answered. Ajinkya added a raid for a 3‑1 advantage, while Surjeet Singh’s tackle pushed it further to 4‑1. The momentum didn’t shift. Fazel delivered a Super Raid, turning the game into a 9‑3 victory for Dabang Delhi.
The win marks another showcase of Dabang’s class, while the close finish highlights the growing parity in the PKL. Fans can expect more thrilling battles in the coming weeks of Season 12.
