Andhra CM for grounding Partnership Summit MoUs in 45 days

Amaravati – On Thursday, Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu told the 13th State Investment Board that more than half of the MoUs signed at the latest CII Partnership Summit are already moving toward formal approval. He asked officials to lay foundation stones for each of those projects within 45 days.

Speaking at the Secretariat, the CM reported that the SIPB cleared investments worth ₹20,444 crore, which could create over 56,000 jobs. Six companies that made deals at the Visakhapatnam summit also received the necessary approvals, and he had personally reviewed all of the agreements signed there.

“We are providing water, electricity, land, and all necessary support,” he said, adding that the speed at which business is done in Andhra Pradesh makes it an attractive destination. “Transparency is bringing new projects to the state. Earlier disruptions damaged investor confidence, even in places like Singapore. We have rebuilt AP’s image, which is why the recent summit attracted such a strong response,” he continued.

Within just 20 days of the partnership conference, agreements worth ₹7.69 crore have already entered the implementation phase. Districts have been earmarked and land allocation has begun. The CM directed officials to register the remaining MoUs as quickly as possible and to ensure all projects are grounded within the 45‑day window.

“We must lay foundation stones for 75 MSME parks before the World Economic Forum summit in Davos. The Chief Secretary should review MoU grounding every week, and I will personally review SIPB decisions and MoUs. District collectors must also monitor progress,” he said.

He urged the creation of a grounding‑industry policy and the presentation of this to the Cabinet. A monitoring mechanism should involve the Chief Minister, the Cabinet Sub‑Committee, the Chief Secretary, ministers, and senior officials. He stressed that land acquisition should proceed smoothly, satisfying both the parties providing and receiving land.

“All approved industries must be set up within the planned timelines, and officials must monitor them regularly,” the CM noted. He emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s shift toward a knowledge‑based economy and the need for government departments to strengthen their use of technology. A highly skilled workforce is essential to drive innovation, and the youth must be trained for future demands.

The CM also announced the establishment of a Logistics University, a Civil Aviation University, and a Green Energy University. An advisory body for Quantum Valley will handle mentoring, monitoring, and venture capital, while the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will mentor startups. He proposed allocating the six towers of Quantum Valley strategically: two for quantum algorithms, two for artificial intelligence, and the remaining two for other emerging technologies to maintain a balanced focus on innovation and research.

Finally, he instructed that AI fundamentals be taught in schools from Class 7 onward, forming a team in collaboration with Microsoft and Google.
