BJP Slams Congress Over Viral AI Video Mocking PM Modi and His Late Mother
New Delhi, September 13: BJP MP Dinesh Sharma fired sharp criticism at the Congress party on Friday after Bihar Congress shared a controversial AI-generated video. The video shows characters resembling Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, Heeraben Modi, in a dream where she scolds him over his political decisions. Sharma called it a low blow, saying Congress has "lost its mental balance" and is using dirty tactics to damage PM Modi’s reputation.
In a strong statement, Sharma accused Congress leaders of throwing insults at PM Modi and even disrespecting constitutional bodies. "It’s become Rahul Gandhi’s job to insult these institutions. He skipped the Vice President’s oath ceremony today, even as the Leader of Opposition," Sharma added.
The AI video, which has gone viral, depicts PM Modi dreaming about his mother criticizing his politics. This isn’t the first time Congress faces backlash over such incidents. Earlier, during a Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar’s Darbhanga, an unidentified person climbed the stage and hurled abuses at PM Modi and his mother, drawing widespread condemnation.
The BJP hit back hard at opposition parties, especially Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), targeting leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for the alleged insults. PM Modi himself addressed the issue at a recent event, calling the abusive remarks a direct attack on his mother and every woman in India.
"Mother is our world. Mother is our self-respect. I never imagined this would happen in Bihar, a land rich in traditions. RJD and Congress abused my mother here. This isn’t just an insult to her—it’s an insult to all mothers, sisters, and daughters across the country," PM Modi said emotionally.
He shared that he stayed away from his mother to serve the nation and other women. Heeraben Modi, who lived to 100 and had no involvement in politics, passed away recently. PM Modi emphasized that such attacks cross all limits and hurt the nation’s values.
