29-year-old anarchist arrested for alleged $45K hit on Pam Bondi: FBI

A 29‑year‑old man was arrested on Oct. 16 after federal agents received a tip that he had posted a murder‑for‑hire video on Tik‑Tok. The suspect, Tyler Maxon Avalos, is facing a federal charge for threatening to kill the U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi.

Avalos, who has a long criminal past, is believed to have posted the video earlier this month. In the clip the suspect added a target photo over Bondi’s head with a red‑dot sniper scope. The caption read: “WANTED: Pam Bondi / REWARD: $45,000 DEAD OR ALIVE (PREFERABLY DEAD).” He also wrote, “Cough cough. When they don’t serve us, then what?”

The video’s creator used the handle “Wacko,” a username that indicates ties to the anarchist movement. Court documents show he linked to an online “Anarchist FAQ Book” in his profile.

Avalos’s record includes a 2022 conviction for stalking in Minnesota and a 2016 domestic battery case in Florida. He was also charged with interstate transmission of a threat after his Tik‑Tok post surfaced.

Authorities say the case shows how far‑reaching online threats can become when combined with a history of violence. The suspect now faces federal charges that could lead to a lengthy prison term if convicted.
