“Rahul Gandhi propounded same narrative that Pakistan creates”: Kiren Rijiju targets Opposition

Kiren Rijiju Slams Rahul Gandhi for Echoing Pakistan’s Narrative on India

New Delhi, September 19: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju didn’t hold back on Friday as he fired sharp criticism at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Rijiju accused Gandhi of repeating talking points that sound just like Pakistan’s anti-India propaganda. He pointed out that Gandhi’s statements often get picked up by groups across the border who oppose India.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Rijiju said, "Whatever stories Pakistan spins, Rahul Gandhi and his allies push the same ones here in India. Over the last few years, we’ve seen a clear pattern—whatever Gandhi and his left-leaning group say to stir things up in India, those exact ideas show up in anti-India circles in Pakistan. It’s a worrying similarity."

This attack from Rijiju comes right after Rahul Gandhi’s strong words against the Election Commission of India (ECI). On Thursday, Gandhi claimed the ECI is working hand-in-glove to wreck the voting process and hurt Indian democracy. He followed up on earlier charges from Congress leaders, including himself as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, who alleged a targeted campaign to remove voters who support opposition parties.

Just a day before that, at a press conference in the Congress headquarters at Indira Bhawan, Gandhi ramped up his accusations. He promised to reveal solid proof to the public and youth about voter fraud. "I’ll show black-and-white evidence that the Chief Election Commissioner is shielding those destroying Indian democracy," Gandhi declared. He also vowed to expose the tricks used to add or delete votes, and slammed the ECI for dodging any real investigation into these serious claims.

But the Election Commission of India hit back hard, denying all the allegations. In a clear statement, the ECI explained that no one from the public can delete voter names online—it’s a tightly controlled process to prevent misuse.

As debates over election integrity heat up in India, these exchanges highlight the growing tensions between the ruling party and opposition ahead of key polls. Stay tuned for more updates on Rahul Gandhi’s voter fraud claims and the ECI’s response.
