New Delhi, Nov 8 – As Bihar heads into the second phase of its assembly elections, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is all about progress and new roads.
State BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal told reporters that voters in Bihar see the benefits of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s work and the support from the centre. “People realise the development under the NDA and thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unlocking resources,” he said.
Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, another BJP leader, pointed to the first‑phase results. “The numbers show that the NDA is set to form a strong majority,” he noted. “With Nitish’s leadership, Modi’s backing, and Amit Shah’s strategy, the people want the NDA back in power.”
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari walked across the state, stopping in places like Patna, Ara, and Chhapra. He pointed out newly built bridges, long stretches of highway, and tree‑lined roads as proof of progress. “We now have new hospitals even in small villages like Atarwalia,” Tiwari added. He also said many voters still feel the “Jungle Raj” era is over and are turning to the NDA for a better future.
Opposition voices were not silent. MP Iqra Hasan of the Samajwadi Party slammed the ruling party’s track record. “After 10–20 years of our government, unemployment remains high,” she said. “Campaign promises alone won’t change the reality.”
The second voting round is set for November 11. Campaigning heats up as parties hammer home promises of development, stronger governance, and public welfare. The BJP leans on visible infrastructure projects to win hearts, while the opposition underlines job creation and governance gaps as key concerns.
Bihar’s voters will decide whether the NDA’s promise of progress keeps winning the vote.
