LI teen accused of killing ballet dancer ex in botched murder-suicide seen bandaged in first photos since arrest
The 18‑year‑old, Austin Lynch, returned to the courthouse on Wednesday with bandaged nose splints from a self‑inflicted shotgun wound. This was his first appearance since the November 26 shooting that claimed the life of Emily Finn, a promising SUNY student and ballet dancer. He was seen wearing a green‑and‑white striped shirt and sporting a faint peach‑fuzz beard and mustache. Prosecutors say Lynch chased after Finn in a fit of jealousy after she ended their three‑year relationship a few weeks earlier and, while she was at his house to close the chapter, he shot her in the head and then fired the shotgun at himself.
