Tennis Premier League race to gold masters set to conclude in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 29 (LatestNewsX) – The Tennis Premier League’s Race to Gold Masters Tournament kicked off in Mumbai on Saturday, taking place at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) after successful events in Delhi and Ahmedabad.

The competition ran over two days, Nov 29–30, and will be the final Race to Gold event before the seventh season of the TPL launches in Ahmedabad. It offers a competitive arena for boys and girls in U10, U12, U14, and for men’s and women’s open categories, letting young tennis players measure themselves against the best in the country.

Champions from each leg earn a ₹75,000 scholarship and will be honored at a grand celebration that will also serve as the launchpad for the seventh season, scheduled from Dec 9 to 14, 2025. They’ll have the chance to meet tennis legends such as Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna, as well as other top‑ranked international stars who will be competing at the league.

“The Tennis Premier League Race to Gold is a wonderful initiative, giving over 2000 players an opportunity to compete at an elite level. The MSLTA is pleased to extend their support to such tournaments that enable the growth of the sport in India,” said MSLTA Secretary Sunder Iyer.

The upcoming seventh season is set to be a historic milestone, featuring, for the first time, players ranked inside the world’s Top 50. Eight teams will battle it out for the title, with the final showdown taking place at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium in Ahmedabad from Dec 9 to 14.
