Chilling final moments of plane crash that killed Christian ministry CEO and his daughter revealed

A 53‑year‑old Evangelical Christian minister and his 22‑year‑old daughter were killed when their small cargo plane plunged into a pond in Coral Springs, Florida, on Nov. 10.

NTSB investigators released a first‑draft report that shows the flight’s last moments. The Beech King Air B100 lifted off without any problems, but the pilot’s radio stopped transmitting shortly afterward as the aircraft began to descend. The air‑traffic controller heard only “heavy breathing and ‘grunting’ sounds” as the pilot attempted to keep the plane climbing. A few seconds later, the aircraft’s final location was almost 200 ft and 350 ft away from the impact point.

Video footage from the site shows the plane falling forward with a “nose‑down attitude.” The NTSB confirmed that the aircraft was not emitting smoke or vapor at the moment of impact, but the engines were still running as the plane entered the water. The wreckage was totally destroyed, and by the time emergency crews arrived there was no visible aircraft.

The flight had been chartered by the ministers’ own ministry, Ignite the Fire. Their goal was to deliver urgently needed supplies to hurricane‑stricken Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa left the island without power or functional infrastructure. The aircraft, which can carry about 1,000 lb of cargo, had not been weighed before takeoff. According to the report, the pilot noted the weight on each box, but the cargo was packed densely and remained “unsecured throughout the cabin on passenger seats.” The Beech King Air normally seats between seven and twelve people.

Divers were sent into the pond, but no bodies were recovered in the initial search. The ministry confirmed the pair’s deaths on Nov. 11.

Ignite the Fire described Alexander as a man who “devo ted his life to serving others…both through his actions and by sharing the gospel of Jesus across the globe.” It also praised his daughter Serena for her empathy and commitment to humanitarian work, noting that their final journey was a powerful testament to self‑lessness and courage.
