Students must focus on digital literacy and problem-solving: Arunachal Guv

Arunachal Pradesh urges students to innovate and embrace digital skills

In a motivating speech at the 47th foundation day of Dera Natung Government College in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) encouraged students to think creatively, learn new skills, and stay digitally literate. He highlighted that today’s youth play a vital role in building a stronger India.

The Governor emphasized the importance of holistic growth—staying disciplined, motivated, and maintaining good physical and mental health. He said these qualities are key to personal success and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Addressing the college students, Lt. General Parnaik linked their efforts to India’s larger goal of achieving a developed nation by 2047, called Viksit Bharat 2047. He urged young people to set personal goals that align with this vision, saying, “When we grow as individuals, society benefits. When society thrives, the entire country rises.”

He also encouraged students to participate in India’s e-governance platform, ‘MyGov,’ where they can share ideas and suggestions. This, he said, helps in nation-building and offers a chance to connect directly with India’s Prime Minister.

The Governor praised Dera Natung Government College for producing leaders, professionals, and changemakers who strengthen local communities. The college, established in 1979 and renamed in 2001 after the late Education Minister Dera Natung, has a diverse student body. Currently, over 51% of students are girls, and about 91% are tribal students, reflecting the college’s inclusive spirit.

Lt. General Parnaik’s message was clear: By working together with vision and determination, today’s youth can help create a brighter, more prosperous India.
