Depraved sicko admits he murdered estranged wife, buried her body — then dug it up to rape corpse

Zarbab Ali, 28, has quietly admitted to a series of chilling crimes. He confessed that he killed his estranged wife, Rachel Castillo, and then committed a truly horrific act against her body after secretly hiding in her darkened apartment.

He stabbed her in the chest several times, buried her in a shallow grave, and later returned at night to dig her up and “rape her,” the attacker has said in a police interview—claims that confirm he considered himself “a monster.”

Salt‑worn evidence shows the body wrapped in a blanket, a mud‑stained dumpster, and a shallow grave in an abandoned lot in California’s Simi Valley.

In court recordings, the defendant stated, “If I didn’t commit to being a monster, then she would have died for no reason.”

He tried to justify the brutality by blaming her cheating, insisting, “This is the only way I could escape. I wanted her dead. I was angry that she just wouldn’t let me move on.”

During the trial, the prosecutor noted that Castillo had almost finalized their divorce when she was silenced.

“Our thoughts are with Rachel’s family, who have endured unimaginable pain since the day she was taken from them,” prosecutor David Russell said after the conviction.

He added, “I am thankful for the outstanding efforts of law enforcement, whose investigation made this verdict possible.

While nothing can restore what her loved ones have lost, this conviction ensures the defendant will spend the rest of his life in prison and that the community will be protected from him forever.”

Jury testimony found Ali guilty of first‑degree murder, and he is set to be sentenced on January 12.
