Rajasthan: ‘Karyakarta Sunwai’ starts at BJP office; ministers to conduct hearings

The Bharatiya Janata Party has rolled out a fresh initiative aimed at tightening the link between the party and its rank‑and‑file members. After the first round of “Karyakarta hearings” kicked off on Monday at the BJP State Office, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, and BJP State Vice President Mukesh Dadhich took to the media to explain the new arrangement.

Bairwa opened by reminding everyone that the BJP has always put workers at the heart of its agenda, and he praised Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for turning that principle into real action by setting up institutionalised worker meetings. He noted that BJP workers are embedded in villages, towns and cities, where they meet the people’s everyday challenges head‑on. Through this new platform, they’ll now be able to bring those issues forward and obtain formal responses in a structured way.

During the inaugural hearing, which ran alongside the Energy Minister’s schedule, the team collected more than thirty complaints. Several problems were sorted out on the spot by liaising with the relevant officials, while the rest will be processed according to established protocols and forwarded to the appropriate departments. Bairwa promised that every grievance would be dealt with swiftly and systematically, ensuring tangible benefits reach the public.

Hiralal Nagar highlighted the state’s key energy targets, including the rollout of over 150,000 new agricultural electricity connections. He explained that priority will be given to areas already benefitting from solar capacity at GSSs. He also pointed out that the installation of smart meters is advancing rapidly across the state, which will boost billing accuracy and help guard against irregularities and power outages. Nagar added that embracing smart technology is critical to the vision of a developed India.

Mukesh Dadhich reinforced the message that workers form the backbone of the party. He announced that the state government will hold worker hearings every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with two ministers slated to be present each day. Cases will be tracked and resolved following the party’s established procedures.
