A fierce gunfight broke out between two rival groups in Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday, turning a quiet village into a scene of chaos over a unpaid Rs 4 lakh loan. The clash happened in the Nake village under Mata Vasaiya police station, lasting almost an hour and leaving locals terrified.
It all started around 7 a.m. when both sides showed up armed and started shooting in broad daylight. Eyewitnesses say bullets flew everywhere, forcing villagers to run for cover. Shops slammed shut, and families locked their doors, fearing the worst. Luckily, no one got hurt in the intense exchange of fire.
Now, a shocking viral video of the gunfight is spreading fast on social media. It shows the groups firing at close range, raising big red flags about illegal firearms in the area and the shaky law and order situation in Morena.
Police jumped into action right away and are digging deep into the incident. A senior officer from Mata Vasaiya police station told reporters, “We’re reviewing the video footage and talking to witnesses. Anyone guilty of disrupting peace will face strict action.”
This isn’t the first time violence has erupted in Morena over money troubles. Just weeks ago, a similar shootout in the Pachbigaha area of Joura injured nine people in another financial feud. These repeated gunfights are fueling demands for tougher crackdowns on illegal weapons and better ways to settle disputes before they turn deadly.
Local cops are urging people to share any tips they have, promising to keep sources anonymous. Meanwhile, the district administration plans to tighten security in risky spots to stop future flare-ups and rebuild trust among residents.
