Mumbai – Actress Shweta Tripathi Sharma is gearing up for the Diwali celebrations while she films the “Mirzapur” movie. The Mumbai‑based star said she’ll spend the festival with her “professional family” and close friends from theatre and Bollywood.
Shweta, who shot several scenes in Varanasi for the film adaptation of the hit series, told reporters that after wrapping the shoot she’ll head to Goa with her rapper husband, Slow Cheeta, for a quick getaway.
“Diwali is very special to me,” Shweta said. “I’ll be with my Mirzapur crew, my theatre friends, and my Mumbai pals. It’s a big family of about twenty people and we always celebrate every festival together – from Holi to New Year, to Christmas.”
She praised co‑star Ali Fazal, calling him a “5th‑generation chef” after he cooked a fantastic meal for the cast. “The food was so good I kept smiling and wanted to relive that moment,” she added.
When asked about staying fit, Shweta stressed the importance of regular training. “I train wherever I’m filming. I work with my trainer Rohit, and after Diwali I’ll take two recovery days before diving back into my routine.” She believes fitness should be a lifestyle, not a task.
On food, Shweta confessed she loves home‑cooked meals. “I don’t like catering. Whenever I’m at someone’s house, even for Diwali, I prefer food made at home. My in‑laws made sweets for us before the puja, and it made the celebration feel real and special.”
With a mix of work, family, fitness, and homemade treats, Shweta Tripathi Sharma is set for a joyful Diwali that feels both professional and heartfelt.
