In a move designed to reverse the losses from previous years, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has increased its average monthly earnings by roughly 30 % year‑on‑year, Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced on Friday.
For the period from April to October 2025, the DTC earned an average of ₹93.96 crore per month, compared with ₹68.54 crore during the same months in the 2024–25 fiscal year, the minister said.
Across those seven months, the corporation collected a total of ₹658 crore, signalling steady financial improvement.
“Under our visionary Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, we are committed to restoring the Corporation’s past glory,” the minister added. “This also reaffirms DTC’s dedication to transparency, responsible management of public funds, and its all‑out efforts to provide better transportation facilities and last‑mile connectivity.”
Pankaj Kumar Singh noted, “These figures show the positive impact of our continuous efforts to strengthen public transport in Delhi. DTC’s improved income and transparent operations underline our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and affordable transport for every citizen. We will continue to support DTC in modernising its services for a better and more efficient public mobility system.”
The results deliver a clear message that the Delhi Government remains firmly focused on bolstering public transport and making efficient use of public resources, the statement read.
Ticket revenue totaled ₹220.33 crore between April and October 2025. Subsidies for pink tickets—part of the Delhi government’s free bus travel scheme for women—added ₹235.56 crore, further demonstrating the policy’s success in enhancing safety, empowerment, and access to jobs and education.
In the Special Hire segment, the DTC generated ₹63.40 crore, while Pass sales contributed ₹36.38 crore. The Miscellaneous Income category, which includes scrap sales, interest income, advertising fees and rent receipts, brought in ₹102.04 crore, adding further strength to the overall financial picture, he said.
