Ben Bader, a 25‑year‑old TikTok influencer from Cincinnati, died suddenly in Jupiter, Florida, in late October. An autopsy released by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner found that the young man’s collapse was caused by heart disease, not by injury or drugs.
The examiner ruled that Bader “died from coronary atherosclerosis due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.” In plain terms, plaque had built up in the arteries that supply blood to his heart, blocking flow and triggering a sudden cardiac event.
No signs of trauma or drug toxicity were found. A toxicology test came back negative for acute drug use, although codeine was detected only in his urine, indicating recent use that did not contribute to his death. The autopsy report said the manner of death was natural.
Bader was discovered inside the private club’s gym at the upscale Admiral’s Cove community in Jupiter, Fla. According to security footage, he collapsed moments after finishing a run on a treadmill. A club member found him unconscious around 6:30 p.m. First responders performed CPR and other lifesaving measures before the ambulance arrived. He was taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on scene.
Because arterial disease in a young person can signal a genetic predisposition, the medical examiner urged Bader’s family and anyone who knows him to speak with a primary‑care doctor about screening for heart disease.
