The 39‑year‑old model, chef and mom of four, recently opened up about her bond with the former royal during a talk about type 1 diabetes awareness.

Teigen first met Markle on season 2 of Netflix’s With Love, a show that followed the former Duchess of Sussex’s family life. “I adore her,” she told People magazine. “Meghan is incredibly strong and kind. People often polarise her, but she just wants to be healthy and happy for herself and her kids.”
The actress explained that Markle’s public persona has nothing to do with any staged drama. “She just lives,” Teigen said. “Everyone reads between the lines and creates their own story. It isn’t complicated at all.”

At a recent event, Teigen spoke as a spokesperson for a telehealth company that launched the first screen‑based type 1 diabetes testing platform. She encouraged fans to do regular check‑ups and highlighted how early detection saves lives.
“It’s cool that Meghan says, ‘Say whatever you want. I’m happy and healthy,’” Teigen added. “I love that she’s honest and down‑to‑earth.”

When asked whether she and Grammy‑winner John Legend would host a family play‑date with the Sussex children—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—Teigen laughed. “I don’t leave the house,” she joked. “Everyone goes to photoshoots and stays at home. But if the time comes, I’d love to.”
