“Maa ka apman INDI alliance ki pehchaan”: Shehzad Poonawalla alleges fourth instance of abuse against PM Modi’s mother

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has accused RJD workers in Bihar’s Samastipur of hurling abuses at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother. He shared a media report on Wednesday, calling it the fourth such incident targeting PM Modi’s family.
Poonawalla pointed to past cases, including a Congress rally in Darbhanga, a deepfake video tweet from a Congress official handle, and earlier remarks by RJD leaders on stage with Tejashwi Yadav. In a sharp post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “Once again, PM Narendra Modi ji’s mother has been abused. Is it a coincidence? No. Maa ka apman Indi alliance ki pehchaan (Insult to mother is the identity of the INDIA bloc).”
The post also mentioned a youth waving an RJD flag who insulted the Prime Minister and demanded action from the Samajwadi Party. Poonawalla highlighted how the RJD workers used derogatory language right in front of a microphone and camera.
This latest controversy builds on earlier tensions. Union Minister Nityanand Rai recently posted a video on X showing an unidentified man making offensive comments against PM Modi in front of Tejashwi Yadav at an RJD event in Bihar.
Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal fired back on Sunday, criticizing the remarks from a rally led by Tejashwi Yadav. Speaking to reporters, Jaiswal said: “The way wrong words were used for Prime Minister Modi’s mother at the INDIA alliance and Tejashwi Yadav’s rally— you RJD folks claim it was just one worker, but if you don’t trust your own people anymore, it shows your leadership has gone completely unchecked.”
The row echoes a similar uproar weeks ago during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, where alleged abuses against PM Modi and his mother sparked protests. That led the NDA to call for a statewide bandh. As Bihar politics heats up ahead of elections, these claims of PM Modi mother abuse continue to fuel debates over RJD and INDIA alliance conduct.
