Country moving ahead in every field, says Jharkhand Governor; highlights PM Modi’s ‘Swadeshi’ push

Ranchi, Jharkhand – The Swadesh Marathon 2025 opened on Sunday, as Governor Santosh Gangwar and Union Minister Sanjay Seth waved the flag for the start. About 25,000 participants lined up on the 5‑kilometre course, showing enthusiasm for the Swadeshi movement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has championed. Gangwar praised the Prime Minister’s focus on self‑reliance and the marathon’s role in encouraging citizens to choose “Made in India” products. Seth urged people to rally behind Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat pledge and to keep the Swadeshi spirit alive as Diwali and Chhath festivals approach.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya flagged off the 20th edition of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2025. The event drew more than 40,000 runners, including roughly 10,000 women, and marked the 25th anniversary of this popular run. Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Army Chief General Anil Chauhan, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi were on hand. Saxena noted that the marathon reflects the “Fit India” call from the Prime Minister and highlights growing public interest in sports and fitness.
