
Tense Situation in Vaishali’s Rajapakar After Violent Police Attack
Patna, September 6 — Tension Mounts in Rajapakar police station area of Vaishali district, Bihar, after a violent attack on police officers late Friday night. The incident has sparked concern in the region, prompting a heavy police response.
It all started with a dispute over money involving an ice cream vendor, according to eyewitnesses. Things quickly turned violent when a group of locals attacked the police team, leaving several officers badly injured.
Among the injured are Mahua police station chief Rajesh Ranjan and the driver of Dial 112 emergency service, both of whom are in serious condition and have been admitted to a private hospital’s ICU in Mahua. Additionally, a female constable named Taranjana Kumari is reported to be in critical condition. Other injured officers include ASI Sanjeev Paswan, ASI Mithilesh Kumar, Mahua’s Dial 112 constable Deepak Kumar, and local watchman Karpuri Paswan, who suffered head injuries and required stitches.
One of the main accused, Mohammad Isha, claimed the situation could have been resolved calmly but alleged that the police used excessive force. He accused officers of beating locals and entering people’s homes unnecessarily. Following the attack, Isha threatened the police openly, warning them not to try entering the village again. He said, “If the police come here, we will slit their throats. If the administration tries to come, more than 100 houses will be involved. Let them try, if they have the courage.”
In response to the violence, police have increased their presence in the village and are working to identify those involved. An FIR has been registered against the accused, and some individuals have already been arrested.
Circle Inspector of Mahua police confirmed that the situation is now under control. He added that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the attack, which authorities say was carried out by a group from a specific community.
This incident highlights the ongoing tensions in the area, and authorities are now focused on restoring peace and ensuring safety for all residents.
