Makers of ‘Tamil Paiyan Hindi Ponnu’ clarify Vijay Antony is not associated with the film; tender apology to actor

Chennai – The makers of the upcoming Tamil film Tamil Paiyan Hindi Ponnu say actor‑music director Vijay Antony has nothing to do with the project. After fans and media began mistaking him for the star, the team issued a statement apologising for the confusion.

In the message, the producers explained that rumors circulated Virgin: “ fans have started congratulating the wrong actor, media pages tag Vijay Anthony in our film posts, and some even expect his music.” They added, “We truly admire Vijay Antony’s work, but he has no role in our film.”

The lead role is carried by M.S. Sameer Ali Khan, who also directed and produced the romantic comedy. The team confirmed the film will reach screens worldwide on January 9 next year.

Filming finished recently, and post‑production is underway. Critics predict the film will be a colourful, entertaining rom‑com. Alongside Sameer, the cast features Aadukalam Naren, Brahmaji, Sonia Bose, and Kumki Asvin in key roles, all under the banner of Super Star Films.

Fans of New Tamil cinema should keep an eye on Tamil Paiyan Hindi Ponnu and the new direction of Sameer Ali Khan, while Vijay Antony fans can breathe easy knowing he isn’t tied to this project.
