In a shocking turn of events, two unidentified men on a motorbike fired shots outside Bollywood actor Disha Patani’s family home in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The incident happened early Friday morning at their Civil Lines residence, and now her father, Jagdish Patani, a retired police officer, has spoken out to clear up rumors linking it to his elder daughter Khushbuu’s recent comments.
Jagdish Patani told that people have twisted Khushbuu’s words and wrongly tied them to spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj. "We are Sanatanis, and we deeply respect sadhus and saints. This misrepresentation of her statement is just a conspiracy to tarnish our family’s name," he said firmly.
The drama started when Khushboo Patani called out Aniruddhacharya online for his controversial remarks. He had suggested that women unmarried after 25 are often "promiscuous," which upset many. Khushboo faced heavy trolling, and false claims spread that she was targeting Premanand Ji Maharaj. She quickly posted on Instagram to set the record straight, saying her words got taken out of context.
Police acted fast on the firing incident. Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya confirmed the details: "We got reports of two bike-borne assailants shooting near retired CO Jagdish Patani’s home. Our teams rushed to the spot, and we filed an FIR at Kotwali police station under relevant sections." For safety, armed officers now guard the family. The SSP added that five special teams, led by SP City and SP Crime, are hunting for the culprits. "We’ll crack down hard on those responsible. I met the family personally and promised full protection," he assured.
