PM Modi to address nation in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today

New Delhi – On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again speak to the nation during the 128th episode of his monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat. The 11 a.m. broadcast will be transmitted nationwide through Akashvani (All India Radio) and Doordarshan. Viewers can also access the program on the AIR News website, the Newsonair mobile app, and via live‑stream on the YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. After the Hindi feed, regional‑language versions will air shortly on Akashvani.
Mann Ki Baat remains one of the PM’s main avenues for speaking directly to citizens across India and abroad. In every edition, Modi tackles a wide range of national matters, spotlights grassroots projects, and urges the public to join developmental and social initiatives—an approach that has become a signature feature of the show.
The last broadcast, the 127th episode, went on air on October 26. During that address, the Prime Minister conveyed greetings for Chhath Parv, lauded young creators who are reviving Sanskrit, and highlighted India’s growing reputation in the global coffee market.
In discussing welfare measures, Modi reminded listeners of the enthusiasm surrounding the ‘GST Bachat Utsav’. He also highlighted several citizen‑driven clean‑up efforts, such as the ‘Garbage Café’ in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, where people receive meals in exchange for plastic waste, and a campaign in Bengaluru led by engineer Kapil Sharma to rejuvenate the city’s lakes.
The Prime Minister praised the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for boosting the presence of Indian‑bred dogs in their units, underscoring the country’s focus on indigenous capabilities.
Over time, Mann Ki Baat has grown into a vital platform for showcasing inspiring community initiatives and encouraging civic participation. Since its inception in October 2014, the program has heightened awareness on pressing issues such as cleanliness, environmental conservation, digital literacy, and women’s empowerment, often sparking widespread, people‑led movements.
