Bhojpuri superstar and BJP supporter Pawan Singh has posted a clear reminder for voters in Bihar: cast your ballot before you eat.
On Instagram, the actor‑singer posted a pic wearing a bright yellow kurta and a finger with fresh ink, a visual cue that he’s already voted. His caption read, “Pahle matdaan fir jalpaan (Vote first, then eat) #bjpbihar #nda.”
Bihar’s 18th Legislative Assembly election will decide 243 seats in the state’s parliament. The election will take place in two phases: Phase 1 on 6 November 2025 covers 121 constituencies, and Phase 2 on 11 November 2025 covers 122 constituencies. The final results are expected on 14 November 2025, the birthday of India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Pawan Singh has long been a popular figure in Bhojpuri cinema and music. He began his career as a harmonium accompanist and later sang in Hindi films, such as “Aayi Nai” in Stree 2 and “Chumma” in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. In Bhojpuri cinema he has starred in hit movies like Pratigya, Bajrang, Satya, Raja, Maa Tujhe Salaam, and many others.
Beyond the screen, he recently appeared on Ashneer Grover’s reality show “Rise and Fall” and is set to release a new film, Powerstar. But this week, his social‑media focus has shifted to the state elections, encouraging fans to take part in the democratic process and support the BJP/NDA slate.
Pawan Singh’s message is simple: vote early, and then enjoy your meal.
