New Delhi – President Droupadi Murmu has invited Mongolia’s head of state, President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, to visit India from October 13‑16. The visit, announced by India’s Ministry of External Affairs, will be Khurelsukh’s first trip to India as president.
He will travel with a high‑level delegation that includes cabinet ministers, members of parliament, senior officials, business leaders, and cultural figures. The visit will feature multiple meetings. President Murmu will host a banquet for Khurelsukh, who will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the wide range of India‑Mongolia ties.
Other key Indian leaders—Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar—are expected to greet the visiting dignitary.
India and Mongolia established diplomatic relations in 1955, and the partnership has grown across defence, security, parliamentary exchanges, development, energy, mining, IT, education, health, and culture. The two countries share deep cultural and spiritual bonds through Buddhism, and both emphasize democracy, development and digital cooperation in their relationship.
The state visit offers a chance to look back at progress, set a vision for future partnership, and discuss regional and global issues that matter to both nations.
