Sharjah Police has rolled out a new fleet of high‑tech patrol cars and traffic wardens, aiming to boost quick response times and road safety for residents.
At the launch, Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, the commander‑in‑chief, inspected the upgraded vehicles. The cars feature advanced communication networks that let officers receive reports and analyze data straight from the field, enabling faster decisions during emergencies.
The move is part of a bigger plan to modernize police operations across the emirate. It builds on the emirate’s commitment to community safety and supports Sharjah’s reputation as a leader in innovation and security in the UAE.
Major General Mubarak thanked Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, ruler of Sharjah, for his ongoing support, and also praised Crown Prince Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi for his dedication to strengthening the security system.
Brigadier Khalid Al Kay, director of the Traffic and Patrol Department, said the fleet upgrade is a key step in the emirate’s strategic plan to bring police operations into the 21st century. “These smart patrols will help our officers respond faster to incidents and keep the community safer,” Al Kay added.
