Apple Expands Retail Presence in India with New Stores in Bengaluru and Pune

Apple is making big moves in India! The tech giant, led by CEO Tim Cook, has announced plans to open two new official retail stores in the country. These stores will be located in Bengaluru’s Hebbal area and Pune’s Koregaon Park, bringing the full Apple experience closer to Indian customers.

Tim Cook shared the exciting news on his social media account, saying, “Say hello to Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru and Apple Koregaon Park in Pune! We are thrilled to continue to bring the best of Apple to customers across India at these two new stores.”

The Bengaluru store, Apple Hebbal, was scheduled to open its doors on September 2, 2025, at the Phoenix Mall of Asia. It will be the third official Apple Store in India, after Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex and Delhi’s Saket stores. The store’s opening was teased with a colorful barricade featuring peacock feathers, India’s national bird, giving it a unique local touch.

At the new Bengaluru store, customers will find the entire range of Apple products—iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, AirPods, and accessories. Visitors can also enjoy expert support and “Today at Apple” sessions, which offer workshops and tutorials to enhance your Apple experience.

Following Bengaluru, Apple’s second store in Pune is also set to open soon. Located at KOPA Mall in Koregaon Park, this flagship store will be a spacious 10,000 square feet. It’s the first Apple Store in Maharashtra outside of Mumbai, marking a big step for Apple’s retail expansion in India.

Right now, Apple has two official stores in India—one in Mumbai and another in Delhi. But with the new stores opening in Bengaluru and Pune, the company aims to bring the Apple retail experience to more Indian cities. Tim Cook revealed during a recent earnings call that Apple plans to open even more stores across India before the end of 2025, including locations in Noida and beyond.

This expansion comes at an exciting time for Apple in India. The company’s iPhone sales have been booming—recently, the iPhone was ranked as the best-selling smartphone in the country during the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. Despite holding a small market share, Apple’s growth shows a strong long-term potential in India.

To support these new stores, Apple is hiring plenty of staff, from customer support specialists to store managers. The company wants to provide the best possible experience for Indian customers as its retail network grows.

Apple first entered India’s direct-to-consumer market with an online store launched in 2020. Then, in January 2024, it introduced the Apple Store app for Indian users to make shopping even easier. The company opened its first brick-and-mortar stores in Mumbai and Delhi in April 2023, marking a big step in its Indian retail journey.

In addition to retail stores, Apple is strengthening its local manufacturing capabilities. The entire lineup of iPhone 16 models, from the affordable iPhone 16e to the premium Pro and Max versions, is now being made in India. This move supports India’s “Make in India” initiative, which Apple has been championing since 2017.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! The upcoming iPhone 17 series is expected to launch soon, and with local manufacturing ramps, the supply will be higher than ever. Reports suggest that production of the iPhone 17 has already begun in India, with Foxconn and Tata-backed facilities working on the new models.

As Apple prepares to launch its new stores in Bengaluru and Pune, tech fans are eager to explore the latest iPhones and enjoy the full Apple experience in person. These new stores are expected to serve millions of Indian consumers, giving them easier access to Apple’s cutting-edge technology right in their cities.

With Apple’s expanding retail presence and increased manufacturing in India, the future looks bright for Apple fans across the country!
