India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar met Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in New Delhi on Tuesday to reinforce the growing India‑Israel partnership. He said both countries face a shared threat of terrorism and urged a worldwide, zero‑tolerance approach against all forms of terror.

“India and Israel have a solid strategic partnership,” Jaishankar told Sa’ar. “We have stood together in tough times and built a relationship full of trust and reliability. Terrorism is a real challenge for both of us, and we must work with the world to stop it.”

The meeting offered a chance to review current cooperation and find new ways to deepen ties. Jaishankar highlighted the recent signing of a bilateral investment agreement, a milestone that could boost trade, especially in agriculture, tourism, finance, and high‑tech sectors.

India’s recent strengths in rail, road, port infrastructure, renewable energy and health care set the stage for Israeli businesses looking to invest. Jaishankar said, “Our companies are eager to explore opportunities in Israel, and we will focus on opening those doors.”

He also welcomed the return of Israeli hostages and the recovery of remains of those who lost their lives in the recent conflict. New Delhi supports a Gaza peace plan and hopes it will lead to a lasting solution in the region.

Jaishankar noted that more Indian workers are now in Israel under a new mobility agreement. “They have challenges we need to address, and I look forward to supporting them,” he added.

The ministers stressed the importance of continued strategic cooperation and exchanging ideas on regional and global issues. “We both have a strong interest in plurilateral initiatives,” Jaishankar said. “I am eager to keep that conversation going.”

The meeting demonstrates India’s strong commitment to Israel, its fight against terrorism, and the growing economic ties that benefit both nations.
