Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that Russia is trying to create chaos in Ukraine by targeting the country’s power grid and railway networks. In a statement published on his official channel, the president accused Moscow of orchestrating a new wave of attacks that could cripple essential services and spread fear among Ukrainians.

According to Zelensky, the strikes on the energy infrastructure are designed to plunge large areas into power outages, while the hits on railways aim to limit troop movements and disrupt supply lines. “These attacks are not simply military actions,” he warned. “They are a strategy to sow confusion and panic across the nation.”

The president’s remarks come amid a series of reported attacks by Russian forces on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Riveting data from Ukrainian defense officials shows that the nation has already suffered several power outages and railway blockages in the past weeks, forcing emergency crews to work around the clock to restore power and reopen lines.

Zelensky’s comments are aimed at rallying the Ukrainian public and reinforcing international support. “When the adversary attacks our essential services, it is a form of psychological warfare meant to weaken our resolve,” he added. The Ukrainian government is urging citizens to stay calm and continue collective efforts to maintain the grid and protect infrastructure.

These new accusations underscore the growing intensity of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Analysts say that further assaults on energy and transportation hubs could strain civilians and potentially shift the balance on the battlefield. Ukraine remains on high alert as the war continues to threaten everyday life for millions.
