Sagar – Nov 23 (LatestNewsX) – A tragic incident unfolded near Anantpura village, inside the Rahli police station area of Sagar district, when a private bus bound for Damoh, traveling at a dangerous speed, crashed straight into four teenage cousins.
The victims were identified as Shivam Pal (18), his 17‑year‑old brother Satyam, youngest brother Prashant (14), and 16‑year‑old Umesh Pal. They were searching for missing buffaloes and had stopped beside a parked motorcycle, chatting, when the bus lost control and struck them. The force of the collision threw the boys several metres away and resulted in instant fatalities.
The loss has sent shockwaves through Anantpura, with the community mourning the untimely deaths of these youths. Prashant was the only son of his parents, and the Pal siblings left behind grieving parents and relatives. Local residents gathered at the crash site, shaking and sobbing as the tragedy unfolded.
Witnesses described the driver as reckless and the vehicle was moving at high speed. Police seized the bus and are conducting a full investigation. All bodies have been forwarded for post‑mortem examinations.
Deori MLA Brijbihari Pateriya was dispatched to the scene soon after receiving reports, having to cut his trip to a Chief Minister’s event short. He met the families, expressed deep sympathy, and promised the government would provide every possible assistance. “This is an irreparable loss. I am with the families in this hour of sorrow and will ensure they get every help,” Pateriya told reporters.
Local residents are calling for stringent action against the driver and the installation of speed breakers on this stretch, which has a history of fatal accidents. The police probe is underway, but the government has yet to announce any financial aid for the families.
