“The big question is whether President Xi will mention the huge support and sacrifices made by the United States to help China gain its freedom,” he wrote. Trump added, “Many Americans died in China’s fight for victory. I hope they are remembered and honored for their bravery. Wishing President Xi and the people of China a great day of celebration.”
Trump also had a pointed message for the leaders attending the parade. He ended his post with a sarcastic remark: “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as they conspire against the United States.”
