Tragic Truck Crash in Indore Kills Two, Injures Many in Busy Area
A shocking road accident in Indore turned a normal Monday into a nightmare when a speeding truck lost control and plowed into a crowd of people and vehicles. The crash happened in the Shikshak Nagar area near Ahilyabai Airport, leaving at least two people dead on the spot and several others with serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as the truck smashed into cars, two-wheelers, and even e-rickshaws. Additional Commissioner of Police Amit Singh confirmed the two deaths, but he warned that the toll could rise since many victims remain in critical condition after being crushed under the heavy vehicle.
One survivor, Shubhash Soni, shared his terrifying experience in a video that’s now going viral on social media. "I jumped off my vehicle just in time to save myself," Soni said. "It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen—a car got completely crushed right in front of me." Local media reports suggest the death count might be as high as five or six.
Police rushed to the spot as soon as they got the news and quickly shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. At least six people are now admitted there, fighting for their lives. The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning his vehicle, which angry locals set on fire. This sparked a massive traffic jam on one of the city’s busiest roads.
Early investigations point to the driver losing control of the truck, but police haven’t pinned down the exact cause of this horrific Indore road accident yet. They’re working to identify the victims, both dead and injured, and have launched a full probe to uncover what went wrong.
Photos and videos from the crash site, showing people lying unconscious on the road, have flooded social media, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving in crowded areas like Indore. Authorities urge drivers to stay alert to prevent such tragedies.
