Chadha, from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), praised Radhakrishnan’s election as the 15th Vice President and ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He also sent warm wishes for the Navratri festival.
In their meeting, Chadha talked about keeping Rajya Sabha sessions smooth and productive. They covered important national topics and touched on key concerns for Punjab state. Chadha feels confident that Radhakrishnan’s leadership will boost democratic discussions and inclusivity in the Upper House.
Radhakrishnan took oath as Vice President on September 12, administered by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. At Prerna Sthal, Radhakrishnan paid respects to statues of freedom fighters and national heroes who shaped India’s independence and growth. To mark his first day, he planted a sapling in the complex.
Radhakrishnan entered the main Parliament building through the historic Shardul Dwar and officially started his role as Rajya Sabha Chairman. Floor leaders from various political parties stopped by to greet him.
Key figures at the event included Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Harivansh; Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Law & Justice; Dr. L.
