AIIMS Delhi Rolls Out Handy Navigation App to Ease Patient Journeys
Imagine wandering through the massive AIIMS Delhi campus, trying to find the right OPD room or pharmacy without getting lost. Those days are over! The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi has just launched a smart mobile app called AIIMS DISHA to make navigation a breeze for patients and visitors.
Officials at AIIMS shared that the app officially went live on September 12, unveiled by AIIMS President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Dr Rima Dada, Professor of Anatomy and the institute’s Media In-charge, told that this tool acts like a personal Google Maps for the sprawling hospital grounds.
"AIIMS covers a huge area, and it’s tough for patients and caregivers to move from one centre to another," Dr Rima explained. "This AIIMS DISHA app changes that by guiding everyone easily to their spot."
What makes AIIMS DISHA stand out? It works seamlessly in both Hindi and English, using Bluetooth low-energy beacons placed along the hospital corridors. Powered by AI technology, the app doesn’t just point the way—it even generates heat maps to spot crowded areas and suggest the quickest routes.
Whether you’re heading to the OPD room, diagnostic centre, pharmacy, or billing counter, the app cuts down on confusion, stress, and waiting time. "It helps you reach any room without hassle," Dr Rima added.
This new navigation app for AIIMS Delhi is a game-changer for the thousands who visit daily, making healthcare access smoother and more patient-friendly. If you’re planning a trip to AIIMS, download AIIMS DISHA and navigate like a pro!
