Just a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok shared a heartwarming personal story from his early days as a doctor. It all goes back to 1998, when Alok first met Modi, and it shows how the leader’s passion for serving the nation has stayed rock-solid for over two decades.

In a touching video under the ‘My Modi Story’ campaign on X (formerly Twitter), Alok recalled starting his medical practice at Delhi’s Batra Hospital. He attended a FICCI event discussing Sonia Gandhi’s nationality, where Modi spoke as the BJP’s national general secretary at the time.

“That was my first meeting with Modi ji,” Alok said. Modi asked if he was keen on politics. Alok replied yes, but added he’d join only after settling into his career.

Modi didn’t stop there. He asked why Alok wanted to enter politics. “I told him I wanted to serve India’s people, do something for my country and my home state, Bihar,” Alok shared.

What Modi said next hit home. “He explained that service to the nation or Bihar has no deadline—it’s an ongoing journey. That idea changed my perspective: you can’t put a timer on serving your country.”

Looking back, Alok highlighted Modi’s incredible path—from becoming Gujarat’s Chief Minister three times to serving as India’s Prime Minister for three terms. “Over the past 25 years, his core belief hasn’t budged: nation first, service always. He doesn’t just talk about it; he lives it through his actions.”

Prime Minister Modi turns 75 on September 17, and the BJP has lined up special events nationwide to celebrate the milestone. Stories like this remind us of the human side of leadership and Modi’s unwavering commitment to India.
